Penfolds RWT Bin 798 2022 is a top-tier Barossa Valley Syrah red wine from Australia's Barossa Valley. RWT stands for Wine Experimentation Project, which began in 1997 with the aim of creating top-quality Barossa Syrah red wines that differ from the American oak barrel style of Grange, instead using French oak barrels for aging.

Color: Officially described as "Barossa Deep Black." Visually, it presents a deep, rich, and heavy blackish-carmine/deep magenta, showcasing the high saturation and concentration of Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Aroma: The aroma is rich and layered, full of captivating fragrance. The blend of French oak barrels brings exotic spices and minerality: Fruity and Floral: Dominated by blue fruits, especially mulberry and blackberry. Oaked and Spicy: Notes of exotic spices, five-spice powder, cloves, nutmeg, pepper, and beef with black peppercorns. Deep and Complex Aromas: Accompanied by earthy mineral notes of iron ore, espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, rhubarb, fermented tea, anise, and a hint of leathery suede.

Palate: Combining a rich, full-bodied flavor with a delicate and elegant structure, it exhibits excellent tension and balance. Flavor profile: The palate is led by the bright fruity aromas of white cherry and cherry pit, followed by red currant, mulberry and other red and blue berry flavors, accompanied by candy-like grape sweetness and a slightly spicy pink peppery taste.
